OIPD provides assessment, accreditation services and professional awards to its members that are aligned to the nine levels of the British Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). Awards include Professional Certification or a Professional Masters Fellowship (Level7), a Professional Specialist Doctorate Fellowship (Dr.S), or a Professional DBA which both come with the grade of Life Principal Fellow (Level 8). The Institute also offers a Post-Doctoral (Level 9) Senior Research Fellowship, carrying the title of Professor (Prof). All are for Life.

To qualify for a Professional Doctoral Fellowship, one must first become a member of OIPD and then submit a Portfolio Report of several thousand words and prepare for an on-line viva. The assessment is based on Accredited Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accumulated credit points from one’s work & life’s experience. If you have had 20 to 30 years of work experience, you are already a specialist in your own right and deserve recognition. For Professionals with less experience, we offer other awards from basic TVET, to Professional Certificate or a Master’s Fellowship.

OIPD has over 500 members from around 30 countries and still growing. We have a Division – Cambridge Global Learning (CGL) - which provides a range of Professional Certification courses, from Learning & Development, Leadership & Strategic Thinking, Learning Interventionist & Group Facilitation Skills, to Professional Coaching Processes and Skills. CGL produces a bi-monthly E-magazine on learning and OIPD publishes a quarterly journal. All members receive a complimentary subscription to both of these publications.
